This Present Moment: an art therapy journal
This book is a treasure! Written by the amazing Meg - psychologist, mother, artist, wife, musician and metastatic breast cancer fighter, Meg reminds us all that we’re here ‘now’ and life is all about how we live This Present Moment. She reminds us that, while we cannot choose our circumstances, we can choose how we deal with them. This book is for anyone facing a difficult diagnosis, a difficult relationship or any difficult situation. It is both a “how to” for navigating a path through the darkness and a wakeup call to jump into life. J&J xx
“This Present Moment” is an art therapy journal with a difference.
Author Meg Welchman was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2010, and is now in remission after two devastating reoccurrences. As a psychologist, Meg was always interested in how people coped with adversity, and having found her own way through such difficult times, she was inspired to share her story.
Illustrator Grace Cuell, developed an interest in drawing mandalas as a tool for mindfulness during her travels last year. As an Arts student in Brisbane with a passion for mindful living, Grace wanted to create something beyond her studies that contributed positively to the world.
Together Meg and Grace created a mindfulness journal with 15 mandalas for the reader to colour in, based around 15 themes of life including Love, Hope, Faith and Resilience. This book was designed to give peace and focus through colouring and contemplation.
Made in Australia using 100% recycled paper and vegetable based inks.
A donation to The Wesley Hospital’s Choices Cancer Support Service is included in the price of each book.
